Programs, Clubs and Activities The Kilgour calendar is full of enriching and exciting events for students and the school community. Students experience and participate in a variety of programs funded by the PTA and school partners every year.
Annual Kilgour Carnival/Kilgour 5K/Run Walk Thanks to all who joined this years race and the Carnival! The Kilgour Community has once again shown their support for both of these family events. Over 200 runners and walkers registered for the 5K event and attendance for the Carnival was high! Next years event will take place on May 13 and May 14, 2011!
Waterford Early Reading Program What’s the key to ensuring reading success in grades Kindergarten thru second? Early intervention, in kindergarten or even pre-school, using technology to individualize instruction and motivate students. The Waterford Early Reading Program’s unique computer-based instruction adapts to an individual user’s learning pace, regardless of primary language or pre-literacy exposure. *Kilgour students will begin using the updated version of the Waterford program in the Fall of 2009. Market Day Our school participates in a once a month Fundraiser food co-op called Market Day. All profits go straight into the Kilgour PTA fund. Just fill out an order form your child brings home or place an order on line at www.MarketDay.com each month and pick up your food at school on the sale day. Please give Market Day a try! We look forward to seeing you at our Market Day sales. Pick Up time is 4:00 - 5:00 pm. The pick-up location is in the hallway leading to the school gym. All delivery dates for Market Day fall on a Wednesday. Market Day pick up dates for 2010-2011 will be posted at a later time.
